Aghan American Fusion Engagement Ceremony

We absolutely love it when wedding vendors reach out to us to photograph their children’s special day, as it feels like a wonderful full-circle moment. I have had the pleasure of working with Asma Habob for several years, and when she asked me to photograph her daughter’s engagement ceremony, I was genuinely thrilled and honored to be part of such an important occasion. The engagement celebration took place in Oakland at their beautifully and newly renovated studio space, providing a perfect backdrop for the event.

I began the day capturing some intimate getting ready shots and detailed photos of the outfit, followed by a focus on the carefully arranged decorations and candid moments of guests mingling as the bride prepared and changed into her elegant engagement attire. We then moved on to portraits of the happy couple, family group photos, and continued to document the warm interactions, greetings, and laughter shared throughout the evening. Appetizers were passed around on platters, adding to the festive atmosphere as the celebration unfolded.

The evening truly came alive with a grand entrance, the meaningful ring and gift exchanges, followed by a delightful dinner and dessert service.
