Bengali/American Fusion Wedding | Oceano Resort, Half Moon Bay, CA

Ragini and Anthony celebrated their multi-day fusion Indian wedding in beautiful Half Moon Bay, CA. We were honored to photograph this warm, joyful family again after capturing Ragini’s sister’s wedding in 2024, and it was a genuine privilege to document both sisters’ celebrations and the traditions that mean so much to them. This was the third and final day of the festivities, full of emotional moments and lively energy. The day began with relaxed afternoon getting-ready moments; we grabbed a few quick shots of the bride and groom prepping, though we paused when the bride wasn’t quite ready yet. While waiting, we photographed thoughtful decor and intimate details and made final preparations for the baraat. A sudden downpour moved the baraat indoors to a hallway near the shopping area, but the spirit and excitement didn’t fade — the groom still arrived on a white horse, parading through the complex for about twenty lively minutes amid cheers and celebration. Once the baraat ended, everyone rushed toward the ballroom, umbrellas in hand, half-drenched and full of excitement. After the groom’s warm welcome, the bride entered in her traditional Bengali saree with a modern silver leaf covering her face, a beautiful contemporary twist on the betel-leaf tradition; the couple chose to skip a first-look so their ceremony reveal remained intimate and deeply meaningful. Following the ceremony, we quickly captured heartfelt family portraits and braved the rain again en route to the reception ballroom, where thoughtful staff helped keep our gear dry with umbrellas. The couple changed quickly while we documented the elegant reception decor and lively cocktail hour, where an amazing saxophonist set a vibrant, sophisticated tone. The newlyweds made a grand entrance, then moved through sincere speeches, a memorable first dance, touching father–daughter and mother–son dances, and the evening closed with open dancing late into the night. Our bride changed into a beautiful white gown for the open dancing, shining on the floor as guests celebrated.
