Engagement Shoot | Filoli Gardens, Woodside
The cutest couple and the best engagement shoot location make for beautiful photos and fun times, Fioli Gardens, Woodside.
A little history about Filoli Gardens:
Filoli was built between 1915 and 1917 for William Bowers Bourn II. They built a country estate closer to their home in San Francisco. The house is 54,256 square feet in size, and has a total of 56 rooms. This includes a ballroom, a reception room, a dining room, Kitchen cozier family rooms, and servants quarters.
It has two libraries and three gardens. The Friends Library Collection and the Sterling Library Collection
Three gardens include, reflecting pool and former carriage house, sunken garden and Chartres Garden
This engagement session was in January, so flowers are missing however it is still charming as always! Different seasons give different looks to Filoli Photos.
Fun Back Story at this shoot- As I was passionately taking photos and fully involved in the beauty of creating art, I missed seeing some slippery moss behind a bush and some plants and took a pretty bad fall. I was fine more importantly the camera was fine. Adventures every step of the way, true sign of a pro photographer if I may say so myself! Btw, I have falled many times during engagement shoots and weddings. All part of the adventures of Photography!

This Bourn door is one of the iconic spots at Fioli for photos and is very popular for engagement sessions. This is a newly-restored Bourn Door, when you are stepping from the Garden and Gift Shop out to the Sunken Garden. It is a beauty!
The next photo set is from the Kitchen of Filoli Country House, vintage Pot and Pans, kettles and cups, glass wear and table ware. Butler’s Pantry, tall ceilings. I usually ask my couples if they want Kitchen backdrop photos, if they are ok with it, we take some fun photos in the Kitchen. Scroll down for fun moments at the Filoli Kitchen.
