Arushi and Tony’s prewedding fusion haldi was a joyful celebration. Two cultures came together to honor a shared tradition with warmth and laughter. After taking a few quick portraits of the bride-to-be, the haldi ceremony began in earnest. Friends and family gently applied bright yellow turmeric paste to the couple, and at one point the groom’s sister surprised everyone with a playful moment—she dabbed haldi on his forehead and called him “Simba,” a memorable line from The Lion King that sent the whole group into hearty laughter. The spontaneous gag was so charming and perfectly timed that I asked her to repeat it for the video, capturing that genuine burst of fun.
