Disha and Umang celebrated a beautiful event that combined both a traditional Gujarati baby shower and a joyful gender reveal, creating a memorable and fun-filled occasion. Upon arrival, we captured detailed shots of the vibrant decor that set the tone for the day, followed by intimate portraits, family photos, and some candid outdoor images. In Gujarat, the traditional baby shower, known as Shrimant or Khodo Bharavo, literally means "to fill the mother-to-be’s lap with wholeness and abundance." While the way this tradition is observed can vary from family to family, its core meaning and spiritual significance remain deeply rooted: to warmly welcome the newborn with open hearts, blessings, and prayers for the mother's safety and smooth recovery from childbirth.

One of the charming customs involves the brother-in-law (Devar), who gently applies kankoo—a red kumkum powder—on the mother-to-be’s cheeks with a light, playful slap. This gesture is a loving reminder that she should not forget him now that a baby is on the way. In turn, the expectant mother reciprocates the gesture by doing the same to the brother, teasingly reminding him that he will soon be an uncle with new responsibilities to help care for the baby.

Following the pooja, there were lively performances and dances involving the mother-to-be and her friends, creating a joyful atmosphere. She later changed into a stylish western gown for the gender reveal segment, there was open dancing and portraits before her solo performance. The afternoon culminated in the exciting gender reveal, where the couple joyfully announced they are expecting a baby boy.
