Indian Wedding Decor | Lucie Stern Community Center, Palo Alto, CA

We regularly create content for the amazing women-owned business Dazzling Streaks, and this blog highlights decor for an intimate North and South Indian fusion wedding. The venue evoked classic Indian heritage homes with a courtyard-style space for the ceremony and roof shingles that called to mind traditional architecture.

The decor featured a traditional-style mandap whose roof was draped in white sheer fabric — a choice we recommend for all mandaps — and included charming details such as delicate lotus bud dangles and a curtain of silk florals at the back of the mandap, which serves as a lovely backdrop for photos. A variety of fresh blooms were artfully arranged in brass pots atop small stools, while large banana leaves were elegantly placed on either side, adding lush texture and a touch of tropical greenery to the overall composition.
