Marathi Bride Mehndi | San Jose, CA

Pre-event photos such as Mehndi/Henna night are so much fun, lively, and festive, offering a unique opportunity for us as photographers to interact with not only the bride but also her family and friends in a joyous atmosphere. Our bride had an intimate mehndi in her sister’s backyard with her parents visiting from Mumbai, India and friends all over the country. It usually takes anywhere between 4-6 hours for Mehndi/Henna to be completely done on both hands and feet. We usually arrive half way through for photo and video.

Since we were losing light, we had to start the portraits before the hands and feet were fully done.

The backyard had perfect lighting and a beautifully decorated pergola where we took most of our photos.
