We have photographed the Suriyakumar family weddings, events, and family sessions for many years. When Shiyulli’s inquired for her wedding, we were genuinely excited, and even more thrilled when she booked us to photograph and film her two days of wedding festivities. The celebration took place at her parents’ palatial home in Diablo, set among acres of rolling land and vineyards — a spectacular, picturesque estate with meaningful details in every corner. Shiyulli’s father wanted guests to feel surrounded by flowers, and that vision was realized: a true floral paradise at its best. This blog highlights the first day, the traditional Sri Lankan wedding. We began bright and early with getting-ready shots of the bride, followed by portraits, candid photos and intimate moments with parents and fun photos with friends. From the groom’s welcoming and the ceremony to family portraits and spontaneous candid moments, the day unfolded beautifully and concluded with a lively bazaar-style lunch featuring charming kiosks.
