Sarah and Anis had a mini sudanese wedding after their Nikaah ceremony. Bride and groom wore the traditional Sudanese wedding celebration called 'Jertig. The bride wears a red toub and the groom wears a white jalabiya or two-piece Sudanese clothing called Alal allah with a red ribbon and gold crescent around his head. The Bride wears a long, loose-fitting white or pastel-colored robe (called “jellabiya”), a headdress, arabic coin headpiece, coined headhat. The bride and groom wore traditional red and walked down the aisle together. They had the Sudanese ceremony.
Many guests wore beautiful sudanese toube african dress.
Red color is the main color of the wedding , it is believed that the red color wards off the evil eye and bring good fortune to the couple. The bride wears red silk toub, groom wears white silk and gold emboridered surti.
Sudanese perfumes, incense; sweets, dates and cups of milk are placed next to the couple.
It is customary for the couple to give each other dates and sweets seven times; later the bride and groom offer treats to their guests.
Following this ritual the couple sips the glasses of milk and then spray each other with it as a sign of love and peace – as pure as milk. The groom showers the guests with perfume. The night end with more music and dancing
