Depali + Badri Day 4 Pre-wedding event- Choora Ceremony

We got some portraits of her before the event. We incorporated fall leaves in her photos since her wedding was a fall season Wedding.

Choora Ceremony is performed as one of the pre-events of an Indian wedding where the bride’s maternal uncle and aunt peform a pooja first followed by the putting the choora on the bride. The choora is dipped in milk and then on the bride’s wrist, it is then covered with a sacred cloth not to be seen until wedding day. After the ceremony there is singing and dancing and rejoicing for wedding day. The choora ceremony emphasizes the role played by extended family especially materal uncle and the bond between the bride and her uncles.
