Destination Wedding Welcome Dinner | ShivVilas Resort, Jaipur, India

Destination weddings are truly adventurous and immensely fun experiences. The travel logistics, managing luggage, navigating delayed flights, and handling check-ins are just part of the journey, alongside the excitement of exploring new and beautiful venues; the list of experiences goes on and on. I have had the pleasure of photographing Anjali for over five years now, capturing her modeling portfolio and various fashion photos, and I was absolutely thrilled to be involved in her wedding festivities this time not only as a guest but also as a photographer. I flew back to my hometown of Bangalore, India, where I enjoyed spending a few days with my parents before making my way to Jaipur, India, on IndiGo Airlines. We made sure to arrive a few days ahead of the wedding celebrations to capture those special pre-wedding photos.

This blog covers day one, event one—Anjali’s welcome dinner party. All the wedding events took place at the enchanting Shiv Mahal Palace Resort in Jaipur. Anjali looked incredibly stunning in her vibrant orange Seema Gujral saree, while Rohan, her fiancé, complemented her beautifully in a blue kurta that perfectly contrasted with the overall color palette of the evening. We took some lovely portrait shots of the couple, capturing their joy, and then proceeded to the grand ballroom downstairs to join the event festivities. The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, joyful mingling among family and friends, and it all concluded with an array of scrumptious food that delighted the guests.
