South Indian Fusion Pre-event | Willow Heights Mansion, Morgan Hill
Ramita and Anji had a 4 day celebation of their wedding festivities. This blog is day 3 of the groom’s Kashi Yatra at the beautiful Willow Heights Mansion in Morgan Hill. Groom is a Marwadi from North India and the Bride is South Indian Telugu, this is an Indian Fusion Wedding. India has many states, dialects and languages and each state has a different tradition and culture and they languages change from one state to another. Hindi is however spoken by most Indian’s and is the national language of India and almost all Indians speak english. Anyway, I digress, let’s get back to this blog post.

Wedding and Reception
Kashi Yatra is a fun tradition in south indian wedding where the groom is ready to kashi and continue staying a bachelor and the bride’s family persuades him to stay back and marry their daughter.
Upanayaman(sacred thread) ceremony of the groom was followed by Kashi Yatra.
Nischithartham( formal annoucement of wedding) and garland exchange and gift were exchanged.
Night ended with kuchipudi(indian classical) dancing from a young family member to celebrate the bride and groom.
